The History of the Organization

The history of Creative Assosiation «Technologies of Optimum Personality Development» began in 1999 when the young men of literature in the Kirovohrad region got together in order to support creative initiatives for the local youth. In addition, Ca «TOPD» transformed into the center for initiative implementation. Thanks to the Assosiation a few new activities were started for the local community of Kirovohrad. Among them:

  • Establisment of the volonteer assistance center;
  • Establishment of the first student research community;
  • Opening the school for young fathers.

Gradually, from the creative activities the assosiation moved to offering analytical services. In 2005 CA «TOPD» renewed its registration and now is one of the analytical centers for the Kirovohrad regional community.

Creative Assosiation «Technologies of Optimum Personality Development» is a functioning structure which has a well organized team, well grounded strategy, plan of work, monitoring system and the system of evaluation, community respect and the support of local government.

Olexiy Khmara — is Docrorate candidate; he is an active social figure since 1999; fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, English and Polish (with dictionary assistance). Mr. O.Khmara is a member of expert group of the Regional State administration, the Secretary of Community Council at the Executive Board of Kirovohrad local committee. O. Khmara completed Government Internship Program and trainined at the Ministry of Transportation and Construction of the Polish Republic and at the Ministry of the Young, Family and Sports of Ukraine. He managed 8 regional and 1 entire Ukraine projects, 6 of them are grant projects.

Mr. Khmara was awarded the Presidential grant for gifted youth. He also been awarded many other awards both from local and state governments.

Olexiy Khmara trained at men crisis centers (The Kingdom of Sweden); he is also the trainee in the field of «Competence of Social Work Leaders»), conducting 12 training.

Mr. Khmara is the co-editor of the publication «Curriculum Complex for Gender Education of Men»,as well as he is an advisor to those who would like to implement Father Schools in their communities.

In 2005—2006 the Creative Assossiation «Technologies of Optimum Personality Development» implemented the following projects:

  • Project «The Queen's Turn»;
  • «Father School — the School for Young Fathers» aimed at prevention divorces among young families;
  • «This is Excellent»project aimed at the explanation of election rights for freshman and junior college students;
  • «Father School — The Way to Responsible Fatherhood»;
  • «Father School — a Step to Gender Equality»;
  • «Streets for People — Trashbins for Trash»;
  • The Forum of regional community elite on the issues of adaptation of regional politics to EU standards.

JOINT PROJECTS DONE WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS:

  • Information bulletin «STRIKHA»;
  • «European Region» — the event aimed a the implementation experience of EU for overcoming similar obstacles in Kirovohrad region;
  • Philosophy discussion club «Kanna».

Creative Assosiation «Technologies of Optimum Personality Development» has the experience of conducting the following training:

  • Project management/project writing;
  • Marketing community organization;
  • Principles of building volonteer network;
  • Leadership competence in social work;
  • Involving local community in decision making process;
  • Fundraising basics;
  • Organizational principles of volonteer work;
  • Organization of Father Schools;
  • Individual approaches of work with children and families.

Creative Assossiation «Technologies of Optimum Personality Development» was registared with Kirovohrad Regional Department of Jurisdiction in 1999.The renewed registration was done by Executive Committee of Kirovohrad Municipal Board in 2005. The registration certificate number is AOO # 077891.
